"Buster had lost most movement in his right leg 2 years ago from a spinal stroke. He basically has used it as a crutch ever since. When we started rehab we immediately started noticing Buster picking his foot up more often and bending his knee (which he never did before). We saw an increase in his muscle mass on the leg as well. With the techniques used on Buster, we noticed he loved exercising daily and had an increase of use from the leg. He now steps over things instead of dragging his leg and has more control of the leg. I strongly recommend Dr. Piper for physical therapy as we thought Buster would not be able to use his leg again."

Dr. East began working with Elwood after a prolonged back issue
which resulted in significant weakness in one of his back legs. I saw
very noticeable improvement after only 4 or 5 sessions, and now (several
weeks following his 10-session rehab), he is running around like a
10-month old instead of a 10-year old! The PT has worked wonders! Dr.
East's genuine passion and care for Elwood, along her patience,
commitment and knowledge of PT, has brought new life to my dearest
friend!

"Posting an update for Dr. Piper-East about my cat Scooter. For everyone else:...she started therapy with doc several months ago, because of arthritis in her rear legs due to an old injury that broke her legs. My husband and I have continued some at-home exercises Doc told us to do, so she would be comfortable at an in-home setting. She loves stretching and the warm-up. I will admit that some days it's all kitty claws and teeth when she doesn't want to balance on the exercise ball or do strengthening on the stairs...but she gets along running more often, and jumps upon furniture easier. She still has a limp when she walks, but she moves easier. And the other day, I found her on the high bar stools in the kitchen!! Which is great for her, but now I have to kitty proof my counters (she's never jumped that high...EVER!). So Trisha, she is doing marvelous! I love and appreciate everything you've done for Scoot, and she's doing great because of you. Thank you!!"

In the spring of 2013, Dr. Trisha East began rehabilitation with Holly Bear. Dr. East showed us some techniques for heat and massage therapy, along with some exercises that we could do at home to help holly improve her flexibility and strength. Dr. East and staff worked with Holly 3 days a week for severaly months and it wasn't long before we noticed our Holly Bear becoming stonger and stronger. Holly needed less assistance going outside to do her business. We still needed to help her with a strap for stability - especially on the stairs, but we were able to let Holly stand and walk more on her own strength than on ours. Soon we noticed Holly was participating with her "pack" more (we have two younger Newfoundlands). We'd look down and there would be three newfies standing beside us instead of two with Holly lagging behind in the other room. We had always kept a lot of extra rugs and runners down on our hardwood floors to help prevent Holly from slippping. After working with Dr. East for a couple of months, we were able to remove many of the rugs! Just when Holly was having some of her best days and progress in years, unrealted health issues caused us to say goodbye just a few months shy of her 10th birthday. Although we were sad to see Holly go, we know that the last months of Holly's life were very enjoyable. She loved Dr. East and staff. She was feeling better and stronger thatn she had in a long time. My husband and I are so grateful for the time and effort Dr. East devoted to Holly. It made such a huge difference!
